CELEBRITY DEATH MATCH `GLADIATOR' CAST, CREW TO HOST SCREENINGS OF OSCAR-NOMINATED FILM.


``Gladiator'' star Russell Crowe will be presenting his 12-time Oscar- nominated film, in person, to moviegoers at Century City's AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card) See AdvancedTCA.  Century 14 next week.

And he won't be alone.

Several members of the cast and crew will take turns playing host to audiences at 7:30 p.m. screenings over the course of a limited one-week engagement, beginning Saturday.

The first night's presenter will be Oscar nominee Ridley Scott, who directed the film.

Bringing out talent for the film's re-release is in response to the success brought on by the Nov. 30 launching of the ``Gladiator'' DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

. Both Crowe and Scott were on hand at a launch party to answer questions about the film.

This time, Scott kicks off the special weeklong run with a question-and- answer session via satellite from Morocco, where he is currently on location.

Tickets for the special engagement will be sold at regular admission on a first-come first-served basis at the AMC Century 14 box office and can be purchased in advance.

``Gladiator'' will also be re-released during the same time at the AMC Promenade in Woodland Hills, but without the celebrity appearances.
