CELEBRITY, INC. STRENGTHENS SENIOR MANAGEMENT RANKS.

TYLER, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 1995--Celebrity, Inc. (NMS: FLWR) today announced two promotions to the Company's senior management team.

David J. Huffman, 44, was appointed President of Celebrity, Inc., a position formerly held by Robert H. Patterson Jr., who retains his responsibilities as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Celebrity, Inc. Huffman will have responsibilities for bulk floral import and distribution within the United States. Prior to this appointment, Huffman was Vice President-Sales of Celebrity, Inc., where his responsibilities included management of the sales force, large national accounts, development of the Company's annual sales plan, advertising, trade shows and all other marketing activities. Previously he was Sales Director for Celebrity Designs, where he was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy.

Also promoted was Nathan Ihrig, 31, who assumes the position of Vice President-Sales of Celebrity, Inc., vacated by Huffman. Similarly, his responsibilities include bulk floral import and distribution within the United States, including trade shows, advertising, national accounts, development of the annual sales plan and management of the U.S. sales force. During the past 8 years, Ihrig has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Company, most recently as National Sales Manager for Celebrity, Inc.

Commenting on the promotions, Patterson said, "Over the past several quarters, a substantial increase in market opportunities has made us aware of the need to strengthen our senior management team. In fiscal 1995, our management depth was augmented through executive-level recruiting and we also gained some talented senior managers through acquisitions. As a result, sales for the first nine months of fiscal 1995 were up 33 percent from the same period a year ago. Clearly, finding and motivating top managers such as David and Nathan to direct our growth will be crucial to our success in fiscal 1996 and beyond."
