Dustin A. Tafoya, son of Jerry and Patsy Tafoya and a 2005 graduate of

St. Michael's High School St. Michael's High School is a private Catholic high school located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the state capital of New Mexico. It is privately run with the blessing of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. , received his bachelor's degree Dec. 18 from The University of New Mexico The University of New Mexico (UNM) is a public university in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was founded in 1889. It also offers multiple bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and professional degree programs in all areas of the arts, sciences, and engineering. . He graduated cum laude with double majors in anthropology and philosophy. Dustin's academic achievements include induction into the Philosophy Honor Society and the Pre-Law Honor Society. He is preparing to work overseas before applying to law school.

Alyssa Specht, a sophomore at New Mexico State University New Mexico State University, at Las Cruces; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered and opened 1889 as a college. It became New Mexico State Univ. of Engineering, Agriculture, and Science in 1958 and adopted its present name in 1960. , was selected to be the undergraduate representative on the Dennis W. Darnall Faculty Achievement Award Committee. This committee selects an outstanding faculty member for the 2008-2009 school year.

Alyssa is also an associate justice with the Associated Students at NMSU NMSU New Mexico State University

. Alyssa is double-majoring in political science with an emphasis on law and society and women's studies. She maintains a 3.8 grade average.

Teressa Specht, a junior at The University of New Mexico, has been selected to participate in the Student Career Experience Program at the NASA NASA: see National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

 Dryden Flight Research Center The Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC), located inside Edwards Air Force Base, is an aeronautical research center operated by NASA. On March 26, 1976 it was named in honor of the late Hugh L.  in California. She will be at this co-op for her spring semester. Teressa is majoring in electrical engineering and maintains a 3.7 grade average.

She is a graduate of Santa Fe High School and the daughter of Michael Specht and Mabel Gonzales Specht.

Thaddeus Clancy of Santa Fe was among the students from the Florida Institute of Technology Florida Institute of Technology is an independent technical college located in Melbourne, Florida (Brevard County), United States. It was founded by Jerome P. Keuper on September 22, 1958 as Brevard Engineering College, absorbing the University of Melbourne, and changing its name  who were named to the dean's list for the fall semester, which ended in December. Thaddeus is a forensic psychology major.

To be included on the dean's list, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a grade-point average of at least 3.4.

The University of Wyoming UW is a national research university prominent in the fields of environment and natural resource research, specializing in agriculture, energy, geology, and water resource related fields.  named three local students to the freshman honor roll and dean's list. They are: Jonelle Ilea Martinez of Santa Fe; and Kyle Persing Paffett and Samantha N. Rich, both of Los Alamos.

The honor roll consists of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade-point average and freshmen who have earned a 3.25 or better grade-point average. To be eligible, students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours taken for letter grades.

The University of Wyoming has named Samantha Sara Stutz of Los Alamos to the 2008 fall semester president's honor roll. The president's honor roll consists of regularly enrolled undergraduates who earned a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester. To be eligible, students must have been enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours taken for letter grades.

Gregory Huffaker, son of Katrina and Gregory Huffaker of Santa Fe, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., for the fall 2008 semester. Huffaker is a senior majoring in art and history. He is a graduate of

St. Michael's High School.

A student must achieve a grade average of 90 or above during the term to be placed on the dean's list.
