CELEBRATIONS: Couple of the week.CONGRATULATIONS to our couple of the week, Matthew and Jane Garlick. Matthew is the son of Mr and Mrs P Garlick, of Cheylesmore, Coventry, and Jane Dalton Dalton, city (1990 pop. 21,761), seat of Whitfield co., extreme NW Ga., in the Appalachian valley; inc. 1847. It is a highly industrialized city in a farm area. is the daughter of Mr and Mrs M Dalton, of Wem, Shropshire. Matthew works for Bio Test which deals with tissue testing machines and Jane is doing a PhD. The couple have chosen to live in Leeds now they are married. INTERVIEW WITH MATTHEW'S MUM, ANNE, AND MATTHEW How did they meet? They met at Portsmouth University. They were both on the same course and were friends first. Matthew brought Jane up to Scotland for a family holiday to meet us. We knew of Jane as they had been friends. "We have been together seven and a half years", adds Matthew. When did they get engaged? Matthew said: "It was February 7, 2002. It was our anniversary of when we met." Anne continues: "He had taken her out for a meal the little romantic that he is." Matthew adds, shyly but laughing: "It's true". How was the big day? "It was absolutely wonderful" proud mum Anne replies. "Nothing went wrong and as you can see from the photo, they are both very happy." They were married at St Peter and Paul's Church in Wem.
