The Conejo Valley's Jewish community came together Sunday to celebrate their culture in preparation for Hanukkah.

``This is all the Jews in the community, not just one temple,'' said Michele Matis Jackman, executive vice president of Temple Adat Elohim and co-chairperson of the event.

The festival's intent is to let Jewish people of all varieties get together as a community to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Jewish culture.

At one table, Chaim Brysky of Chabad House A Chabad House is a centre for disseminating Orthodox Judaism by the Chabad movement. The oil helps tell the story of the Hanukkah miracle, in which one day's oil lit lamps for eight days.

Four giant, human dreidels walked the festival in full blue outfits, although one claimed that no special spinning training was necessary for the job.

``They just knew I was a dizzy broad,'' said the dreidel, who also goes by the name Debbie Leshon.

This was the festival's third year, and Jackman thinks that better planning and better weather brought out more people than last year. Organizers estimated that about 3,000 people attended the event.
