CEDRA Clinical Research LLC has outgrown their current facility, which has been a site for clinical research in Austin since 1984.

The company is moving into a new clinical research facility in North Austin that will nearly double their capacity for overnight research studies, which a growing number of clients are requesting.

"With so many drugs currently going off patent, the generics industry has fueled an increased demand for Phase I studies, which require overnight stays," says Dr. Sherilyn Adcock, CEDRA's Director of Clinical Research. "That increased demand, on top of ongoing studies for new drugs in all phases of drug development, meant that we were actually having to turn studies down. Our new facility will allow us to accept more studies and better accommodate our clients' timelines."

CEDRA's new research facility is located at 8501 North Mopac, just north of Steck Avenue. It has 23,500 square feet and 100 beds, an increase

from 15,000 square feet and 60 beds in the current facility. A grand opening celebration of CEDRA's new clinical facility will be held on November 21 for press and invited guests.
