CED Finalizes Demo Line-up for InfoTech 2005; 26 NC-based Technologies on Display at 15th Annual Conference.

Brooks Malone, chair of the InfoTech 2005 demo selection committee and a partner with Raleigh-based Hughes Pittman & Gupton LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol , said the demo participants will provide a fresh look at the expanding pipeline of innovation in North Carolina North Carolina, state in the SE United States. "With such a high-quality group of applicants this year, we were able to select a diverse line-up of demo participants that represent our state's enormous potential in technology," said Malone. "In particular, I am pleased with the variety of new and emerging technologies on display, including university breakthroughs and entrepreneurial start-ups."

The InfoTech 2005 demo selection committee chose demo participants based on their level of innovation, current/potential market application and "demo-ability." CED sought applications from North Carolina-based entrepreneurial companies, university spin-outs, garage entrepreneurs, students, IT corporations and local research institutions.

This year's InfoTech demo participants will be eligible for the 3rd Annual People's Choice Awards The People's Choice Awards is an awards show recognizing the people and the work of popular culture. The show has been held annually since 1975 and is one of the few to be based on the opinions of the general public. , which will be voted on by conference attendees at the Oct. 12 event.
