CEBS Chapter Announces Officers.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2000

The Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists has announced its officers for 2000.

 of Garner Consulting, in Pasadena, Calif., was named president. Monica Desmond, CEBS of Foundation Health Systems, in Woodland Hills, Calif., was named president-elect. John Reiter, CEBS of Marsh, in Los Angeles, was appointed vice president. Barbara Morey, CEBS of Lockton Insurance Brokers, of Los Angeles, was elected secretary. Scott Gregory Scott Gregory was an American figure skater. He competed in ice dance at the 1984 Winter Olympics with Elisa Spitz. He then paired with Suzanne Semanick, with whom he won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice and competed at the Olympics in 1988. , CEBS of Yamasaki Insurance Agency, in Torrance, Calif., was elected treasurer. Anne Trinh, CEBS of Keenan & Associates, in Torrance, was appointed to the board of directors.

Continuing on the board of directors are the immediate past president, T. Greg Taylor, CEBS of Aetna US Healthcare, in Woodland Hills, and Bettyann Craig, CEBS of West Hills.

The Los Angeles chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists is a non-profit educational organization whose members hold the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation, a professional certification Professional certification, trade certification, or professional designation, often called simply certification or qualification, is a designation earned by a person to assure that he/she is qualified to perform a job or task.  awarded those passing the 10-course college-level program of study co-sponsored by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania The Wharton School is the business school of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1881 through a donation of Joseph Wharton, making it the world’s oldest business school.  and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
