CEA Accredited as Administrator for U.S. Advisory Group to International Working Group on Exhibition Terminology; U.S. TAG Confirms David Korse as Chair.

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has accredited the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) Working Group on Exhibition Terminology; the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)--producer of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the largest trade show in the United States-will serve as the TAG Administrator.

ANSI accreditation allows the TAG to be the official working group to generate the U.S. position on questions arising before the international working group. Membership in the U.S. TAG is open to all interested parties and organizations within the United States who indicate that they are directly and materially affected by the activity of the group.

The U.S. TAG also announced confirmation of David Korse, president and CEO of IDG World Expo Corporation, as its chair. Korse has two decades of experience in the event industry, and has overseen the organization of hundreds of exhibition and conference events. In addition, Bob Kelley, director of Business Development, Meeting Consultants, Inc., will serve as a representative of the U.S. TAG at the first meeting of the ISO Working Group on Exhibition Terminology to be held in Singapore on July 25-27, 2005.

"Add to that his work as chair of the EEIAC (Event and Exhibition Industry Audit Council), and it's clear that he is the ideal candidate for this position."
