CEA's Technology and Standards Department Honored at NAB Engineering Dinner; Recognized for Standards Development and Broadcast Services Projects.


LAS VEGAS Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  -- The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) department of Science and Technology honored the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA CEA carcinoembryonic antigen.

) Technology and Standards Department The Standards Department was a department of the English Board of Trade having the custody of the imperial standards of weights and measures. As far back as can be traced, the standard weights and measures, the primary instruments for determining the justness of all other weights  during a dinner last night held in conjunction with the 59th annual NAB Broadcast Engineering conference. NAB honored CEA for work conducted over the years on standards and projects for broadcast services.

Upon accepting the honor on behalf of the association, CEA President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Gary Shapiro stated:

"It is a great honor for CEA to receive this special recognition from NAB. This honor represents the hard work of our many volunteer leaders and staff, both past and present. And it's particularly appropriate and humbling that we receive this recognition from NAB as we have a long and distinguished history of cooperation on technical standards. Indeed, it sometimes seems that the headlines only come when we have differences. But the truth is that together, we have changed the world.
