Triggering Shortcuts See Win Shortcuts. With Toolbars and Palettes In QuicKeys 3.5, users can create Toolbars and Floating Palettes for triggering shortcuts. Toolbars are anchored to an edge of a user's screen, while Floating Palettes hover in the foreground and can be moved around. Both the Toolbars and Floating Palettes can be created to perform shortcuts in specific applications or universally across all applications. With Click-and-Go Palettes the shortcut (1) In Windows, a shortcut is an icon that points to a program or data file. Shortcuts can be placed on the desktop or stored in other folders, and double clicking a shortcut is the same as double clicking the original file. is activated by clicking a button or typing a single keystroke key·stroke n. Batch Processing (1) Performing a particular operation automatically on a group of files all at once rather than manually opening, editing and saving one file at a time. For example, graphics software that converts a selection of images from one format to another would be a batch processing utility. To help users execute a QuicKeys sequence on multiple documents, version 3.5 includes a Batch Processor extension which operates by opening each document located in the source folder, one at a time, then performing the desired QuicKeys sequence, until all the files in the source folder are processed. Tab-Oriented Editing Interfaces Both the main editor and the sequence editor are revamped for QuicKeys 3.5. Tab-oriented interfaces with adjustable, movable windows and easier-to-read listings make creating and editing QuicKeys shortcuts easier and more intuitive. With version 3.5's revised object-oriented sequence editor and its improved interface, users will now be able to more easily fine tune all their QuicKeys sequences. The revised sequence editor now features numbered steps which will show the details of each step without opening it. Complex sequences are also easier to write with the revised Jump extension utilizing QuicKeys' new line-numbering technology. The Jump extension automatically modifies its line numbers as a sequence is edited. More Powerful Sequence Recording With this release, the QuicKeys recording functionality is revised to enable users to easily and automatically create sequences that are more reliable than ever before. With QuicKeys 3.5 nearly every recorded sequence is ready for immediate use without any modifications from the user. Pricing and Availability QuicKeys 3.5 will be available in the US version by June 30, 1996, and has a suggested retail price of $119.00. Users of version 3.0 may upgrade to QuicKeys 3.5 for $35.95.
