CDMA Development Group announces first CDMA World Congress; conference to address evolution of CDMA around the world.


IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1996--The CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) A method for transmitting simultaneous signals over a shared portion of the spectrum. The foremost application of CDMA is the digital cellular phone technology from QUALCOMM that operates in the 800 MHz band and 1.9 GHz PCS band.  Development Group (CDG (CDMA Development Group, Costa Mesa, CA, www.cdg.org) A membership organization founded in 1995 that promotes CDMA wireless systems worldwide. It is involved with developing new features and services and promoting standards that provide global compatibility and interoperability. ) Monday announced that it will hold its first CDMA World Congress at the Hyatt Regency Hotel The Regency Hotel was a hotel in Denver, Colorado. Built in the 1960s to serve as a regional convention center, it was famous locally for its large gold dome and the luxury of the rooms within. , Singapore, May 14-16.

The theme of the conference is ``The Evolution of CDMA Around the World.''     The CDMA Development Group is a nonprofit trade association that was formed to foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of CDMA.
