The Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), headquartered in Minneapolis, has selected RIS Logic CS software for its network of more than 20 sites located around the country. CDI has been operating one clinic with RIS Logic CS since mid May and will roll out the next wave of installations in early September.

The sale is a milestone in the effort to extend the benefits of its radiology information system (RIS) to group practices with multiple outpatient imaging centers. Radiology practices such as CDI can use RIS Logic CS software to streamline the workflow across multiple locations, manage tasks centrally or individually, and analyze productivity and performance measurements throughout the practice. As a result, practices can better balance procedure volume between sites, increase procedure volume, and increase the satisfaction of patients and referring physicians.

According to Steve Fischer, CDI chief information officer, the CDI Product Evaluation Team investigated more than 20 RIS products before selecting RIS Logic CS. "We required not only an accurate and efficient workflow, but also the ability to effectively track and report across all CDI locations -- currently at 20 and growing," he said. CDI was a development partner for the new software, and in mid-May launched the beta version at one of its centers. security preferences can be configured by each location and by each user to

bottlenecks, and analyze performance measures including modality utilization,
radiologist report productivity, referral sources, and procedure
trends/profitability.
