CDC properties 100 percent leased.

Confirming reports of stronger demand in the industrial real estate market, the Cityscapes Development Corporation (CDC) announced that with the recent leasing of a one-story building to the Pierce Packaging Company its industrial parks, aggregating over one million square feet in Eastern seaboard states, are 100 percent leased.

Cityscapes, Albert I. Berger president, is headquartered in Rutherford, N.J.

Pierce Packaging, a major distributor of packaging products in the United States, is occupying a free-standing building in Cityscapes Southwide Industrial Park in Jackson, Tenn. The warehouse has a 24-foot ceiling and 42 loading docks.

Berger pointed out that Southland provides ready access to major interstate highways, and he explained that warehouses convenient to major markets, large enough to offer economies of scale and having ample loading facilities are at the right place with the right service at this point in the recovery and are very competitive in today's market.

Cityscapes is an active investor in industrial parks located in the U.S. and Canada, and is looking to acquire these facilities on an all cash basis and via sale leaseback arrangements. Berger has headed Cityscapes as president since its inception 15 years ago. He formerly was chief executive officer of Helmsley-Greenfield, Inc., and senior vice president of Helmsley-Spear, Inc. His firm is based in Rutherford, N.J.
