CD94.7 FM Announces the 9th Annual KevHead Cookoff to Benefit Local Charities; Saturday, August 14 at Hooters' in Downers Grove.CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1999-- CD94.7 FM and The Kevin Matthews Kevin Matthews is a Midwest-based radio personality, best known for his 12-year association with the Loop and its onetime sister-station, AM1000. Matthews became popular for his off-kilter take on various topics. Show will host the 9th Annual KevHead Cookoff this Saturday, August 14, 1999 from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Hooters' in Downers Grove Downers Grove, village (1990 pop. 46,858), Du Page co., NE Ill.; settled 1832, inc. 1873. Downers Grove has undergone population growth and commercial development that include the construction of new office complexes. , located at 1303 Butterfield Road. The event is open to the public. Twenty listeners, whose famous recipes, cooking techniques and grilling tales were selected by Matthews from fax and e-mail entries, will be "KevHead" grillers competing for first, second and third place in three categories: chicken, ribs and specialty.
