CD Line and Sumeria Inc. Announce Agreement.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1996--CD Line, S.p.A., an independent distribution and publishing company based in Milan, Italy, and Sumeria Inc., an independent publishing company based in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden , announce a marketing and development relationship.

CD Line will release its first four products, fully localized for the Italian market in the July 1996 timeframe including: Exploring the Lost Maya, Wild Africa, and OceanLife volumes III and IV.

CD Line was founded in 1994 by Aldo Sansone with the mission to sell and distribute multimedia products on CD ROM for the Italian market. By 1995 CD Line supported 330 stores in Italy through telemarketing; In 1995 CD Line started a Sales Network that covers the entire Italian market and all distribution channels: Music Stores, Video Stores, Video Game Stores, and other distributors.

Sumeria's founder, Jerry Borrell is "pleased to establish this new aspect of our longstanding relationship with CD Line and to be a part of CD Line's growth in the Italian market. CD Line is a reputable, fast-growing company with which we are proud to be associated."

The agreement includes distribution, marketing, advertising, trade-show representation, direct sales, and other collaborative efforts in Italian markets for IBM compatible (computer) IBM compatible - A computer which can use hardware and software designed for the IBM PC (or, less often, IBM mainframes).
