CCH LAUNCHES "JOURNAL OF TAXATION OF FINANCIAL PRODUCTS".

CCH, Inc. (Riverwoods, IL) has begun the quarterly publication of Journal of Taxation of Financial Products. Targeted to "every user of "derivative and other financial products," the journal has a paid circulation. An annual subscription costs $195.

Designed for tax practitioners, corporate finance managers and financial services firm professionals, the journal carries analysis of the tax ramifications associated with financial products. CCH said subscribers will learn how to protect against a variety of risks, achieve lower costs of funds and meet a desired rate of return. Editorial emphasizes the tax treatment of hedges, straddles, etc., identifies return strategies for investment vehicles and cross-border derivative transactions, and examines tax questions associated with new financial products. Regular columns cover such topics as: issues affecting high net worth individuals; international taxation; capital markets; new regulatory, state and local developments; and industry financial accounting developments.

CCH marketing manager Gail Portugal said the journal will be especially useful for tax, finance and legal professionals with clients or organizations in the energy, investment, insurance, banking and agricultural industries.
