CCAC EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES SPELLING BEE WINNERS

 PITTSBURGH, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Following spirited competition, Executive Report won the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Educational Foundation's Second Annual Corporate Spelling Bee Sunday night.
 The team, made up of Marianne Perry and Roy McHugh, outlasted 15 other teams to win the designation "best corporate spellers" in Allegheny County.
 Litek, Inc. placed second. Ketchum Public Relations placed third.
 Emcee Dave Crawley, KDKA Television, presented awards to the winning teams. Dick Macino of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette served as pronouncer for the event.
 The evening, which took place on the Gateway Clipper Fleet's Party Liner, was highlighted by the enthusiasm of the participants and cheering sections who dressed in their corporate logo sportswear. Calgon Corporation won the best-dressed cheering section award. Strong corporate pride made the evening a success.
 The evening benefitted the CCAC Educational Foundation. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit CCAC students via scholarships pledged by area four-year colleges and universities. CCAC faculty will receive innovative grants from the monies donated by participating area businesses.
 The Corporate Spelling Bee was co-chaired by Linda A. Dickerson, president/publisher of Executive Report, and L. Michael Kelly Jr., senior vice president and associate director of Ketchum Public Relations.
