CBT Systems Awarded $5.7 Million Interactive Training Agreement by Compaq.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999--CBT Systems, a leading provider of interactive education software for information technology (IT) training, today announced a three-year agreement valued at $5.7 million with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ), a Fortune Global 100 company and the largest global supplier of computer systems, to provide interactive education software to Compaq employees.

Under the terms of the agreement, Compaq employees worldwide will have access to 500 courses from CBT Systems' library of interactive software education titles. Compaq has selected courseware from the CBT Systems library that supports Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and Lotus products. In addition, Compaq employees have access to online mentoring services offered by Scholars.com, a CBT Group subsidiary, for supporting Microsoft certification programs such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certifications.
