CBTWeb Plus is an externally hosted version of CBT Systems' popular CBTWeb(TM) product. CBTWeb currently enables customers to access and manage CBT Systems courses over an intranet via internally managed web servers. Using CBTWeb, learners can choose to either download To receive a file transmitted over a network. In any communications session, "download" means receive, and "upload" means send. The download/upload often implies a big/little scenario, in which data is being downloaded from the "big" server into the "little" user's computer.  CBT Systems courseware or interact with it in real time over an intranet using CBT Systems' LivePlay(TM) capability. CBTWeb Plus provides a new option for customers who choose to have their CBT Systems courseware managed over the Internet from an external site. As with CBTWeb, CBTWeb Plus will initially feature a download capability; the company also plans to add the LivePlay capability to CBTWeb Plus in the third quarter for live, real-time interaction over the Internet.

CBTWeb Plus is designed to relieve customers of any network infrastructure or security issues, and minimizes human resource requirements The components of a system that are required by software or hardware. It refers to resources that have finite limits such as memory and disk. In a PC, it may also refer to the resources required to install a new peripheral device, namely IRQs, DMA channels, I/O addresses and memory , while providing the highest level of deployment flexibility since each student receives CBT Systems' in-depth training from his or her preferred location. Additionally, training administrators and information systems (IS) managers are assured that students receive the most up-to-date curricula since the CBTWeb Plus servers are maintained by CBT Systems and are continuously updated with the latest courseware at the company's centralized cen·tral·ize

Pricing and Availability

CBT Systems plans to make CBTWeb Plus available on a phased basis. Courseware downloads using CBTWeb Plus will be available in the second quarter of 1998; LivePlay capabilities are expected to be available in the third quarter. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
