In the second quarter, CBT Group's corporate customer base grew to 1,732 with the addition of 81 new corporate customers. The company added five more million-dollar-plus contracts in the quarter, bringing the total number of multimillion-dollar contracts for the year to 10.

CBT Group's aggressive product development enabled the delivery of a record 69 new interactive education software titles in the quarter. The company's library currently comprises 694 titles, representing a 25 percent increase over the number of titles at the end of 1997. Significant product announcements in the quarter included CBT Group's plan to deliver a new 100-title curriculum for the IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Suites for Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs.
