Chyron Corporation (NYSE:CHY) announced today the sale of eight Pro-Bel TX 320 master control switchers to CBS (NYSE: CBS). This state-of-the-art system will be used for coverage of the upcoming NFL season.

The TX 320 is a state-of-the-art digital master control switcher that processes 10-bit, component digital video combined with either analog or AES/EBU digital audio. Up to six channels, either SDV or HDTV, can be controlled with a single panel.

The CBS units include 20 audio-follow-video inputs, eight independent audio channels, audio breakaway, two linear keyers, full-function DVE, machine control, bypass switcher and an internal 32 X 32 matrix.

The TX 320 features an ergonomic, user-friendly control panel and an easy-to-read plasma display for both audio monitoring and switcher configurations, and provides full integration with all Pro-Bel and third party automation packages. Using the TX 320 with Pro-Bel automation enables manual operation to occur without impacting the automated playout process.
