CBRE secures $25m for apartment deal.

 have secured $25 million in first-mortgage financing on behalf of Eliason, Inc. to facilitate their acquisition of the Lake St. James Apartments. The 10-year loan, financed by Barclays Capital Barclays Capital is the investment banking division of Barclays plc. It is a primary dealer in U.S. Treasury securities and various European Government bonds.

Barclays Capital is led by CEO Robert (Bob) Diamond, an American who had been vice-chairman of Credit Suisse First
, carried a 6.24% initial coupon and four years interest-only followed by a 30-year amortization schedule.

Lake St. James is a 484-unit, class A muitifamily located in Conyers, GA, just east of Atlanta. Located within Rockdale County, this community is part of the Interstate 20 corridor, making transportation to the city quick and convenient.

The region has a strong manufacturing base and is home to more than three dozen Fortune 500 firms. Completed between 1998 and 2000, the Lake St. James Apartments have an average size of more than 1,000 s/f, all situated on 50 park-like acres. Amenities include a fitness center, business center, swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds and a car care service center. Each apartment, designed in a resort-style living plan, features up to 9-foot ceilings with crown molding Crown molding encapsulates a large family of moldings which are designed to gracefully flare out to a finished top edge; generally used for capping walls, pilasters, cabinets; used extensively in the creation of interior and exterior cornice assemblies and door and window hoods. , and many units have private patios and balconies.
