 sold more than $10 billion of U.S. property assets, more than twice the level of the second most active firm. CBRE's market share also improved from 14 percent in 2003 to 15.3 percent for the first half of 2004.

"Historically, the most productive part of the year remains ahead of us," said Gregory S. Vorwaller, CBRE President of Investment Properties, "and yet we've already outpaced ourselves as compared to 2003, gaining more market share in what continues to be a robust sales market."

Other significant findings include:

* CBRE's market share of investment sales activity at 15.3 percent is more than double that of its nearest competitor (6.8 percent);

* For the first time, CBRE assumes the number one position in retail investment sales;

* CBRE continues to dominate in office investment sales.
