CBRE launches group to raise equity & debt.


CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. NYSE: CBG is a multinational real estate corporation currently based in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.. On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2.  announced that it has established a new group within its Capital Markets division, which focuses on assisting finance professionals and their clients in raising equity and high-yield debt via third-party equity providers for a variety of projects throughout the United States.

Michael C. Coyne and Barry S. Nectow, who will both be based in the Boston office, are spearheading the new group, called the Equity Product Group.

"Over the past year, we have seen a heightened need from our clients for equity capital, as well as a significant increase in the number of equity sources, which led us to create the Equity Product Group," said Peter Donovan, senior managing director of CBRE's Multi-Housing Group.

"Barry and Michael's combined talent and experience have expertly positioned us to meet our clients' needs for all product types."

, Coyne was a principal at TriSail Capital Corporation, where he was responsible for the origination of mezzanine and participating debt investments in commercial real estate throughout the northeastern United States.

Before that, Coyne was an Associate with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, where he underwrote senior mortgage and mezzanine transactions and was responsible for financial, market and borrower credit analysis and physical property evaluation.

, Inc., where he formed ARCap's Loan Origination Group to source commercial mortgage opportunities for various ARCap owned and managed capital sources. In this capacity, Nectow founded ARCap's Boston office, hiring a seven person team.

Prior to this position, he spent 16 years with John Hancock, most recently as vice president and head of the US Real Estate Finance Group.

His responsibilities included commercial mortgage production, capital markets investing, credit, portfolio management, collateral review and administration.

During his tenure, one of his most notable roles was his involvement with the development and startup of John Hancock's CMBS CMBS

Throughout that time, Nectow's conduit team originated over $2 billion in loans and participated in more than 15 securitizations.
