CBOE RESCHEDULES LAUNCH OF NASDAQ-100(R) INDEX OPTIONS TRADING TO MONDAY, FEB. 7

 CHICAGO, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that it will begin options trading on the NASDAQ- 100(R) index (options ticker symbol NDX) on Monday, Feb. 7.
 Previously, CBOE had announced an earlier trading date. However, the launch has been rescheduled to Feb. 7 to accommodate price dissemination vendors which will soon transmit the NASDAQ-100 index level under the options ticker symbol NDX.
 The NASDAQ-100, a benchmark for large growth stocks traded on The NASDAQ Stock Market(SM), is a capitalization-weighted index comprised of 100 of the largest non-financial stocks in the NASDAQ National Market(R). The NASDAQ-100 has had an approximate 94 percent correlation with the NASDAQ Composite Index over the past several years.
 CBOE, regulated by the SEC, is the pioneer of listed options and the world's largest options marketplace. Accounting for 93 percent of the U.S. index options market share in 1993, CBOE lists options on the S&P 100 and S&P 500 stock indices, the Russell 2000(R) Index, the FT-SE 100 Index, and nine S&P and CBOE sector indices, as well as options on more than 500 stocks and interest rates.
