, senior executive vice president of the firm.

The ten individuals include Ben Landress and Stephen Stephen, 1097?–1154, king of England (1135–54). The son of Stephen, count of Blois and Chartres, and Adela, daughter of William I of England, he was brought up by his uncle, Henry I of England, who presented him with estates in England and France and  Lebovitz, each promoted to executive vice president; Ron Fullam, Ron Gimple, Michael Lebovitz, Eric Snyder and Gus Stephas, all promoted to senior vice president; and Jim Dunn, Vernon Pirtle, and Charlie Willett, all promoted to vice president.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Lebovitz said, "As we enter the new year, we deemed it appropriate to recognize and promote qualified members of our executive staff for their added responsibilities as well as their years of service to our company. Each of these members of our executive staff has played a very important role in the success of our company and it is with a great deal of pleasure that I announce their respective promotions.

"These individuals have an average tenure of more than 18 years with our company, which speaks tremendously of their dedication and loyalty to our firm. With these promotions, we have every confidence that they will carry out their additional responsibilities," Mr. Lebovitz added.

"Our firm is fortunate to have a talented staff which has been with the company for many years. These promotions will allow us to continue to address the myriad Myriad is a classical Greek name for the number 104 = 10 000. In modern English the word refers to an unspecified large quantity.

The term myriad is a progression in the commonly used system of describing numbers using tens and hundreds.
complexities which exist in the shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  industry today as we maintain the pursuit of our firm's primary goal of growth through developments, acquisitions and aggressive management of our existing portfolio," Mr. Lebovitz said.

"As we announce these important promotions, we also are announcing the retirement of James L. (Bucky) Wolford, senior executive vice president of our firm, effective January 15, 1997," Mr. Lebovitz said. "We wish him the very best in his retirement. He has indicated to me that his retirement will allow him to spend more time with his family and pursue business opportunities outside of the shopping center development business."

Mr. Wolford has been associated with the CBL organization for almost 24 years and has been in charge of the mall development division.

Stephen Lebovitz, who joined CBL & Associates Properties in 1988, has been promoted to executive vice president-development. Previously responsible for community center development, he will now oversee all new development, including regional malls and community centers.
