CBI partners with WMI for Massachusetts success: "they stand by their equipment and make sure it is right.".

Those are the words of Chris Lucarelle, site manager for Waste Management Inc.'s C&D recycling facility in Wilbraham, Mass., talking about the CBI CBI

The only materials not recycled by the CBI line are gypsum gypsum (jĭp`səm), mineral composed of calcium sulfate (calcium, sulfur, and oxygen) with two molecules of water, CaSO4·2H2O. It is the most common sulfate mineral, occurring in many places in a variety of forms.  and bulky items.

The goal was to utilize the equipment to divert C&D material from landfills by making a 6-inch-minus grading and shaping material for landfill closure projects. The recycling rate WMI gets from the CBI equipment is an astounding a·stound

95%, and the material has received a favorable beneficial use determination (BUD) for the application from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

CBI has created a niche in the stationary processing equipment market, having completed several custom projects for companies around the country. "Most everything CBI makes is design/build, except for their mobile equipment," says Lucarelle. "They have been over here several times to check that everything is working correctly, such as making sure the material falls on the belt in the right spot, and that we are getting the production we expected."

WMI has been getting the 80 to 90 tons per hour production rate that was promised by CBI. In addition to the ongoing support and the quality of the components that went into his system, one reason for that, Lucarelle thinks, is the high uptime the CBI equipment has enjoyed since being installed. "The equipment is doing what they said it would," he says, summing up.

And that's a measuring stick that CBI is pleased to use any time.
