CBCom Inc. Announces Plans for Billing Internet Access Fees to Mobile Telephone.

ENCINO, Calif. & BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2002

CBCom Inc. (OTCBB:CBCI) today announced that its strategic partner in the People's Republic of China (PRC), Beijing Chinet Information Technology Co. Ltd. (Chinet), has begun trial operations of a mobile Short Message System (SMS) purchase and collection system in Tianjin, China.

Upon successful completion of this trial operation in Tianjin, anticipated to occur by the end of May, work will commence on fully integrating billing and collection systems with Internet access fees so that mobile telephone users will have the ability to charge Internet access fees to their mobile telephone bill.

This eliminates the need to purchase prepaid cards for those customers having mobile telephones. Currently, CHINANET, the market leader, and other government-sponsored ISPs bill Internet access fees to their customers' residential or commercial telephone bill. The new billing service can give Chinet a significant competitive edge in the ISP marketplace because their potential market could then include all mobile telephone users, a large and rapidly growing segment of the telecommunications market in China.

Chinet won approval from China Mobile, one of the two mobile telephone operators in China. The system is now under trial operation for limited SMS/mobile purchasing, billing and collection services.
