(Zhonglu) the only government sponsored source for legal information online. CBCom, working in partnership with Zhonglu, will build the only government supported web-based online legal educational system. This will be an exclusive service, being made available on a subscription basis as the only online source for information directly from China's Ministry of Justice. Membership fees will be charged for access to one of four service categories: Legal Examination Training Each year, over 350,000 prospective judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and governors take a legal proficiency examination (China's equivalent of the Bar Exam), which is offered once or twice per year. China has 110,000 lawyers, and competition for jobs is fierce; candidates look for every advantage possible in order to pass the examination. This online service will be the only government-sponsored source for specialized training materials to prepare for the examination, and subscribers will pay a fee for the training materials and online educational services. Legal Interpretations By the time legal interpretations are available in printed book form they are no longer current and often obsolete. Subscribers will be entitled to view legal interpretations online immediately after they are released.
