CBC/AAHS SIGNS PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR PHILADELPHIA STATION.

) announced today that it has signed a purchase agreement to buy WPWA-AM 1590, licensed to the city of Chester, PA, and currently owned by Lloyd B. Roach, Inc. The aggregate purchase price of the station is $1,300,000.

WPWA, which reaches the greater Philadelphia area, will be the sixth top ten radio market where CBC will own and operate a radio station devoted to the Radio AAHS History
Radio AAHS (sometimes misspelled as "Radio Oz") was a radio network managed by the Children's Broadcasting Corporation. Its flagship station was WWTC-AM in Minneapolis. At its height in 1996, Radio AAHS had 29 affilliates across the nation.

Children's Broadcasting Corporation's Radio AAHS(R) is an award-winning radio programming mix of music, news, stories and games, produced and distributed for children age 12 and under and their parents. The Company's Radio AAHS(R) format, which broadcasts via satellite from its flagship station WWTC-AM in Minneapolis is currently available to approximately 35 percent of the country.

Radio AAHS(R) has an affiliated network of 28 stations, including company owned or operated stations in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit, Minneapolis, Kansas City and Denver. It is the only live, 24-hour radio network for children and their families in the United States providing programming that includes shows from Disneyland, Walt Disney World Noun 1.
