CBA Elects Canadian Prez.The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association Founded in 1945[1]:, the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) is a representative body for public service broadcasters throughout the Commonwealth. A not-for-profit non-government organisation, the CBA is funded by subscriptions from 108 members and affiliates from 54 (CBA See Capital Builder Account. ) held its 23rd annual conference in Cape Town, South Africa on October 11-14, 2000. Hosted by SABC, the event reached maximum capacity with more than 200 people in attendance. The Rolls Royce Awards for Broadcasting, which promote quality broadcasting in the Commonwealth, comprised the categories of Cost Effective Engineering, Effectiveness in Training, Innovation in Management, the CBA Award for Progress in Gender Awareness and the Elizabeth R Award for Exceptional Contribution to Public Service Broadcasting. |
