CB Richard Ellis beefing up New Jersey retail presence.

 Tri-State Retail Services Group with the appointment of seven new executives to its New Jersey operations.

 will be opening a new retail services office in Hoboken, which will be the fifth office for CBRE in the state.

"We are extremely pleased to announce these new appointments to our Retail Services Group in New Jersey," said Ray Sohmer, senior managing director of CB Richard Ellis' New Jersey operations. "At CBRE, we are committed to building on our market leadership position by continually re-investing in our services platform. These new appointments will give CBRE the widest and deepest market coverage in the state."

Alison Lewis, senior managing director of CBRE's New York Tri-State Retail Services Group, added, "These new professionals will significantly increase our retail presence throughout New Jersey, and reflect our course of strategically expanding in the retail field throughout the entire New York TriState area. We are continuously focused on strategically recruiting the best talent in the market and these new professionals will provide our expanding client base with an unrivaled depth of retail expertise and experience." The new appointments to CBRE's New Jersey Retail Services Group include James Aug and Rich Schulz, senior vice presidents, who join the firm from RS Aug Real Estate and will be based at the company's new Hoboken office. Additionally, CBRE has appointed first vice president David A. Greenman to head up its central New Jersey retail effort. Rounding out Greenman's team are Robert Molloy, vice president; Jason Pierson, associate; and James Hsu, associate, who will all be based at the company's East Brunswick office.

Both Aug and Schulz join CBRE from retail firm RS Aug Real Estate, a company they co-founded in 2006. Aug and Schulz will significantly increase CBRE's retail presence in northern New Jersey, specifically serving the state's Gold Coast marketplace.

Previously a principal of RS Aug Real Estate, Schulz's client roster includes landlords such as Inland Real Estate, Continental Real Estate and Kamson Corporation. Pierson began his real estate career in CBRE's New York office in 2005 and has worked with some of the Manhattan's largest landlords in marketing over 200,000 s/f of retail space. Prior to CBRE, Pierson specialized in sales with Sprint Nextel Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE: S) is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. With 55 million subscribers, Sprint Nextel operates the third largest wireless telecommunications network in the United States (based on total wireless customers), behind  Corporation.

Hsu specializes in representing tenants and landlords in New Jersey, as well as Pennsylvania. Prior to joining CBRE, he served in various management roles with Jetro, the U.S.'s leading wholesale retail company. He also specializes in site selection in the restaurant and fast food industries.
