James (Jamie) M. de Jong, a veteran real estate professional with over 20 years of experience in Latin American and domestic real estate markets, has joined CB Richard Ellis' Global Corporate Services Group (GCS) to augment the firm's existing Latin American practice.  and Senior Vice President David Ellis in Toronto, de Jong, who iss based in Manhattan and whose title is senior managing director, will also spearhead and support new business development.

de Jong, who is fluent in Spanish and was raised in Puerto Rico, has represented a wide cross-section of corporations, non-profit organizations and foreign governments in their development and execution of real estate strategies.

, de Joug managed the Latin American platform for Cushman & Wakefield, and earlier was employed by The Galbreath Company where he established and presided over the company's joint venture in Mexico, Galbreath Robina.

He received a B.S. degree in foreign dervice in 1981 from Georgetown University and is a graduate of The Choate School in Wallingford, Conn. He is a member of REBNY REBNY Real Estate Board of New York  and he also is an adjunct professor of New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  School of Continuing Education The School of Continuing Education is a part of the North Orange County Community College District, located in northern Orange County, California. The School of Continuing Education provides non-credit continuing adult education, English as a Second Language, vocational skills, .
