CB Commercial to manage, lease One Times Square

CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc. was named exclusive leasing and management agent at One Times Square, one of the most well recognized landmark office buildings in New York City.

CB Commercial (formerly Coldwell Banker Commercial) will be charged with leasing the retail and office space at the 110,000-square-foot building. One Times Square consists of retail space on the first three floors and 18 floors of office and restaurant/banquet space with floorplates varying in size from approximately 2,500 to 6,000 square feet. CB Commercial broker Dave McClernon will head the leasing team for One Times Square.

In addition, Ray F. Tindel, CB Commercial senior vice president and director of Management Services for the New York region, will be implementing redevelopment, property management and operations programs at One Times Square. Tindel joined CB Commercial in March from Gerald D. Hines Interests to bolster the firm's property management portfolio in New York City. At Hines, Tindel was, at various times, property manager at 885 Third Avenue and 31 West 52nd Street.

With nearly 70 million square feet under management nationwide, CB Commercial is one of the largest property management firms in the country.

One Times Square, located at the crossroads of Broadway and Seventh Avenue at 42nd Street, is the site of the annual New Year's Eve "ball dropping" ceremony which ushers in the new year. The building's facade is also the world's best known "electronic billboard" as evidenced by its spectacular signage sponsored by such major corporations as Pepsi-Cola, Minolta, Sony and others. Recently, Sony put its giant Jumbotron video screen on the building after extensive market research determined that One Times Square is the most recognizable building in all of Manhattan, viewed by some two million passersby each day.
