) has been awarded a contract valued in excess of US$200 million by Woodside Energy Ltd., operator of the North West Shelf Venture onshore gas plant near Karratha, Western Australia Karratha is an important centre in the resource-rich WA's Northwest. CB&I will be the mechanical erection contractor for construction of a fifth liquefied natural gas liquefied natural gas: see under natural gas.
Liquefied natural gas (LNG)

A product of natural gas which consists primarily of methane. Its properties are those of liquid methane, slightly modified by minor constituents.
 (LNG) production train with a design capacity of 4.2 million tonnes per year. The Phase V expansion will increase the plant's capacity to 15.9 million tonnes per year, making it one of the single largest LNG complexes in the Asia-Pacific region.

CB&I's work scope for the project includes the installation and hook-up of modular LNG units, as well as structural, mechanical and piping works installation. The Company will mobilize on site in October 2006 and expects to complete its portion of the project in the first quarter of 2008. The on-site work force is expected to peak at about 850 employees.
