CAUSE HE CAN; GREYHOUND GUIDE.

Byline: Thomas Gilmartin

SEMI-FINALS at Shelbourne Park Shelbourne Park is a greyhound racing stadium in the south Dublin inner city suburb of Ringsend.

The stadium also played host to the home matches of Shelbourne FC, who play in the League of Ireland, from 1913/14 up until 1948/49.
tonight for the Derby Plate and the Paddy Power Irish Greyhound Derby.

(Race 7) Derby Plate Semi Final TYRUR CHRISTY is well boxed and will take the beating. Dangers should be Faypoint Lad and Cabra Minstrel.

(Race 8) Second Semi and if we see the real Thurlsberg Joker there can only be one result. I was disappointed with Joker last week and for that reason I am siding with KIOWA MYTH who may just be a bit of value here.

(Race 9) Is the highlight of tonight's card and I reckon whoever wins this will win the event outright. The fastest greyhound in training COLLEGE CAUSEWAY still holds a 100% record in this event but he won't have it all his own way with the speedy Slip The Lark and the consistent Shaneboy Lee but both may find Causeway too strong.

(Race 10) FAYPOINT MAN has been beaten in his last two starts at very short odds but we can get our money back tonight with Cashen Legend chasing Faypoint all the way.

Other good bets on the card tonight are in (Race 3) where ROUGH ROBINHO can outstay out·stay

 his field.

(Race 6) TYRUR QUINN ran well last time and a repeat maybe enough here.

(Race 12) ACCORDELLO will appreciate this longer trip and has already won the Ladbrokes 600 this year. He can add this to his long list of victories.

SIS have agreed a deal to show the Shelbourne card in betting shops up to and including the semi finals of this year's Paddy Power Irish Derby tonight.

SHAWFIELD again host a very competitive twelve race card and I reckon we can get off to a flyer with COME ON ANNIE ANNIE Application of Neural Networks for Industry in Europe .

(Race 2) DRUMPARK JIMMY may just get the run of the race and can lead by half way and hold on from the fast finishing Clover Fairy.

(Race 3) CAIRNS Cairns, city (1991 pop. 64,463), Queensland, NE Australia, on Trinity Bay. It is a principal sugar port of Australia; lumber and other agricultural products are also exported. The city's proximity to the Great Barrier Reef has made it a tourist center.  ORLANDO has been running consistently without winning in recent months but he can go close tonight.

(Race 4) RACHAELMYMATE can make it three wins on the trot.

(Race 5) Marshalls Angel is likely to be well fancied although I reckon TINFOIL tinfoil,
n See foil, tin.

tinfoil substitute,

TOMMY can put his bad run behind him and take this tight race.

(Race 6) Daisys Magic is likely to go off a short price favourite but may have to settle for second best as PILOT AMBITION may just get first run.

(Race 7) JUDICIAL DESIGN should get back to winning ways after two narrow defeats in recent weeks.

(Race 8) SOMETHINGABOUTROSIE is well boxed to take this.

(Race 9) BRAVE LEE ROYE can outstay his field and lead late on.

(Race 10) MOVEALONG BARRY done us a favour last time and he can go in again.

(Race 11) MISS MAJESTIC is a bitch on form and she can make it four wins in a row with another victory.

In the lucky last FITOTHEWALK may just be too strong for Gorbals Mary.

Idecided to take a stroll to Paisley to watch the much hyped Muir Group Muppets. I must admit they surprised me after a very tough and physical match they went down 12-10 after a close match.

TOMMY'S TOP TIPS

COLLEGE CAUSEWAY (Shelbourne) FAYPOINT MAN (Shelbourne)

ROUGH ROBINHO (Shelbourne) MOVEALONGBARRY (Shawfield)
