Niall John Quinn (Honorary) MBE (b. October 6, 1966 in Dublin, Ireland) is a former Irish international footballer, and the current chairman of Sunderland AFC.
has cracked the whip at Sunderland and demanded his multimillion-pound squad start to show commitment to their relegation fight.

The chairman has seen his club plunge to the brink of the drop zone, and spoke out after seeing the Black Cats put in a feeble performance in crashing 3-0 at West Brom at the weekend.

Quinn has already set out the financial stakes, with US investor Ellis Short poised to take a 50 per cent stake.

But that is only guaranteed if Sunderland survive in the Premier League.

Quinn said: "I genuinely believe that with our talent, if there is work-rate, passion and commitment, along with the crowd behind us, Ricky Sbragia Richard "Ricky" Sbragia (born May 26 1956 in Lennoxtown, Scotland) is a Scottish football coach and former footballer. He was appointed as first-team coach of Bolton Wanderers on October 10 2005[1] and is currently the caretaker manager of Bolton.  and the players have got enough.

"But they must deliver and show people they want it. West Brom was a very, very poor game, a let-down performance and the fans were not very happy.

"The players have to lick their wounds then get revved up for Everton at home on Sunday. We can't look any further than that."
