CATIC Forms Vested Technologies, Inc. New Computer-Support Company Dedicated to Legal Industry.

ROCKY HILL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 1999--

The Board of Directors of the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC) has announced the formation of Vested Technologies, Inc., a computer-services company, dedicated to improving the operational efficiency of law firms, corporate legal departments, law schools, associations, and all other entities in the industry with MIS or IT needs.

"The rate at which enterprises outside the legal profession were advancing technologically became an impetus for us," says CATIC President, Richard J. Patterson. "We couldn't afford to remain an island in the midst of change, so we rose to the challenge by forming Vested Tech. Its mission is to help law firms apply technology -- to share technology with the rest of the world and to communicate electronically."

While support is Vested Tech's primary mission, the company provides everything from start-ups to tune-ups, including:

Vested Tech's President, Mark Bellenger, is a veteran of front-line positions at CompUSA, UNIDEN, and Digital Equipment Corp. Beyond her teaching background, she has experience in software-applications training, specifically for law firms, and taught CATIC's PC-based legal software.
