Harrisburg is the capital of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a state of the United States of America.

 service, with clients all over the country. Many are furniture retailers, who take advantage of the experience Cathy garnered in a 12-year career with Ethan Allen. But it's her ability to teach "people skills" to others that makes her business thrive.

She's also harnessed her talent for motivating others to support the Society's research mission. Cathy started the annual "Reaching for the Stars" Research Dinner. It's a festive occasion to thank contributors to the Annual Fund, top fundraisers, and all the captains who get folks out for the chapter's many special events.

This year, the dinner honored husband and wife Steve Levison, PhD, and Terri Wood, PhD, MS researchers at nearby Milton S. Hershey Milton Snavely Hershey (September 13, 1857 – October 13, 1945) was an American businessman and philanthropist. He is famous for founding The Hershey Chocolate Company and the "company town" of Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Medical Center in Hershey, and Margherita Cantornia, PhD, from Pennsylvania State University Pennsylvania State University, main campus at University Park, State College; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1855, opened 1859 as Farmers' High School.  in State College, Pennsylvania.

"I'm always thinking, `What can we do to make the public more aware of MS?'" Cathy said.

This is the face of Cathy Finney, who is living with MS. But this isn't the whole picture exactly.

"For years my doctors kept saying my leg problems were from high heeled shoes. Then they said my pain was in my head," Cathy said. She was finally diagnosed 3 years ago. A bit later MS suddenly kicked in big time.

Disclosure wasn't optional any longer. "You can only have so many `bad leg' days before you have to say something," she explained. "I needed to use a cane, and it took me a long time to get my head around that idea.

"`I don't pay for your legs, I pay for your brains,' one of my wonderful clients told me. So today I don't just have a cane. I have 9 of them, coordinated with my wardrobe. , because I'm very frightened about what might happen. I have to work hard on staying strong.' The client just looked at me and said, `People know you're scared. They know you're not an idiot.'
