CAT SHOT WITH 18IN ARROW.


A FAMILY have told of their horror at discovering their pet cat shot with an arrow.

But he is expected to survive his ordeal after the aluminium arrow was removed by a vet.

Owner Mark Richardson - who has two children, Chloe, 10, Ben, seven - said: "He is recovering well but has been very lucky. You can say he has only got eight lives left."

Police are investigating the attack in Newcastleton, Borders, on Wednesday.
