Executed in conjunction with Scholastic Professional Magazines' Custom Media Group, this nationwide competition asked students in grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 to explain through images or words how they make their houses, apartments or condominiums, or other living quarters, ``homes.'' The contest generated more than 2,000 entries. Eight-year-old Bergstrom submitted a poster shaped like a house, complete with a faux brick facing, featuring photographs of the house and the many activities she enjoys participating in with her family at home. She describes her favorite activities that she enjoys each month, including Christmas, Easter, Halloween and summertime.
