For the three months ended October 31, 1994 net income was $4,685,000 or $0.30 per share. The earnings of the Company were effected by unusually high new development expenses connected with the Company's activities in several states in which referendums for gaming were on the ballets in November. The Company estimated that its new development expenses were higher than previous quarters by approximately $1.2 million or $0.05 per share, tax effected. This compares to net income of $9,043,000 or $0.55 per share for the comparable period last year.
