CASH REWARD FOR HELP.

THERE are more than pounds 150,000 in rewards on offer to catch robbers responsible for thefts on Merseyside.

Det Supt Martin Andrew said: "There is significant money put up by us and by the security industry to show the commitment from both sides to tackle this problem.

"Some people are prepared to put themselves out to help us and they can be well rewarded. Anyone who helps us with information leading to a prosecution could expect at least a pounds 10,000 reward." John Bates, British Security Industry Association chief executive, said: "Attacks against cash-in-transit couriers are often extremely violent and have a lasting and traumatic effect on both the couriers and their families."
