CAS produces new guide for educators. (Bulletin).


Using Data to Improve Schools: What's Working is one result of the work being done by AASA's Center for Accountability The traceability of actions performed on a system to a specific system entity (user, process, device). For example, the use of unique user identification and authentication supports accountability; the use of shared user IDs and passwords destroys accountability.  Solutions (CAS). Working with CAS, school system leaders and district teams across the country are shifting from simply reporting data such as test results to using a wide range of data to promote school improvement. Using Data to Improve Schools explains how and provides school system leaders, school board members, principals, teachers, parents and other community members with insights and tools for cultivating a districtwide culture of inquiry that values the power of data to inform sound decision making and improve teaching and learning.
