CARWASH TO HELP OFFICER'S FAMILY LAPD PITCHES IN IN TIME OF NEED.

RESEDA -- No matter how many cars they have to clean, no matter how many lunches they may serve, the officers of the LAPD's West Valley station will be ready Sunday.

The couple has six children, ranging in age from 6 to 17. Police have been donating their sick days to Ryan so she can spend time with her husband. They have cooked meals and even decorated her house for Christmas.

``If you met her, you'd understand why we're doing this,'' said Officer Gail Muzzey, who said the station and local businesses were eager to help out with Sunday's event. ``She's just got that motherly moth·er·ly

In addition to the carwash and barbecue, a raffle also will be held, Muzzey said.

``This was all done by the men and the women here who want to take care of their own,'' said LAPD 1. LAPD - Link Access Procedure on the D channel.

 Capt. John Serman of the West Valley Division. ``Ryan and Andy are well-liked in the division. The holidays are here and they have a very large family and everybody at the West Valley family wants to help.''

Ryan said all the efforts have made the couple feel loved.

``It's just been so helpful,'' she said. ``They put so much work into the carwash and helping me. I can't say enough about the division.''
