Bryan Herta Bryan Herta (b. May 23 1970, Warren, Michigan) is an American race car driver. Herta, who lives in Valencia, underwent surgery Monday at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. The team's general manager, Scott Roembke, said Herta was resting comfortably at home and is expected to be driving in the season's opening race March 21 at Homestead, Fla.

Herta, 28, was hospitalized after suffering abdominal pains late Saturday.

He will be in his fourth year with Team Rahal and sixth year on the CART circuit this season. Max Papis Massimiliano "Max" Papis (born October 3, 1969[1]) is a racing driver from Italy who has competed in several top-level motorsports series such as Formula One and Champ Car.  will replace Bobby Rahal as the other driver for the team, which is based in Hilliard.

Rahal retired as a driver at the end of last year after 16 CART seasons and remains the team's principal owner, with comedian David Letterman as minority owner.
