CARSLEY COMPLETES BRUM DEAL.



REPUBLIC of Ireland international Lee Carsley Lee Carsley (born February 28, 1974 in Birmingham, England) is a professional football player for Everton, and who represents the Republic of Ireland internationally (his grandmother is from Dunmanway, County Cork).  yesterday completed his move to Birmingham City.

The 34-year-old midfielder agreed to the switch a fortnight ago while on holiday.

But Carsley last night completed a medical at the Championship club having rejected a one-year extension at Everton.

"My contract ran out, I was offered a new deal there but I felt it was the time to move on," said Carsley. "I wanted a new challenge."

Meanwhile, Owen Garvan Owen Garvan (born January 29, 1988, Dublin, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer who currently plays for Ipswich Town and the Republic of Ireland U21s. He previously played for the renowned Irish schoolboy team Home Farm.  is confident he won't have to leave Ipswich to further his Republic of Ireland career.

The 20-year-old, who has been offered a new two-year deal by manager Jim Magilton James "Jim" Magilton (born May 6, 1969 in Belfast) is a former Northern Irish footballer who currently manages Ipswich Town in the English Football League Championship. Playing career
Magilton was a midfield player who represented Northern Ireland 52 times.
, said: "As long as you are doing well then there is no reason a player from outside the Premier League can't break into the national side."
