James Eugene Carrey (born January 17, 1962) is a Canadian actor and comedian.
 may be headed onto the remake trail again. Hot off his success in the ``Truman Show,'' Paramount Pictures reportedly is developing for the superstar ``The God of Cookery,'' an American version of the Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  movie of the same name.

In it, Carrey would play the world's greatest chef, who has let fame go to his head and is hated and undermined by his colleagues. Carrey has not committed to the project, but he is slated to star in two other remakes that are being developed - ``The Incredible Mr. Limpet,'' which originally starred Don Knotts Jesse Donald Knotts (July 21, 1924 – February 24, 2006) was an American comedic actor best known for his portrayal of Barney Fife on the 1960s television sitcom The Andy Griffith Show (a role which earned him five Emmy Awards), and as landlord , and ``The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,'' which originally starred Danny Kaye.

Carrey is playing the late comedian Andy Kaufman in his next picture, ``Man on the Moon,'' which is being directed by Oscar winner Milos Miloš, prince of Serbia
