CAROLYN LECKIE: GOOD CAUSE.


Byline: CAROLYN LECKIE Carolyn Leckie is a Scottish Socialist Party politician and former member of the Scottish Parliament for central Scotland. She is also a member of the executive committee of the Scottish Socialist Party.

THE management of Coatbridge College, in Lanarkshire, have a history of poor management and bad behaviour.

But they seem to get away with it while forcing the workforce to pay for their mistakes.

Just before summer, they forced through contract changes on academic staff, leaving them less time to prepare classes.

Now they''ve upped the ante and want to force 22 compulsory redundancies.

The EIS (1) (Executive Information System) An information system that consolidates and summarizes ongoing transactions within the organization. It provides top management with all the information it requires at all times from internal and external sources.  trade union has a strong organisation there. Management don''t seem to like it. All the more reason to offer them solidarity.

Proceeds this week go to to help their campaign, which starts today.
