THE management of Coatbridge College, in Lanarkshire, have a history of poor management and bad behaviour. But they seem to get away with it while forcing the workforce to pay for their mistakes. Just before summer, they forced through contract changes on academic staff, leaving them less time to prepare classes. Now they''ve upped the ante and want to force 22 compulsory redundancies. It provides top management with all the information it requires at all times from internal and external sources. trade union has a strong organisation there. Management don''t seem to like it.
